With over 22 years experience as a writer, artist manager, music journalist, and 12 years in national music video, Sandy Torres is a busy affable maverick film and documentary director. A native of NYC, with two recording artist parents, she was born into the entertainment business. Growing up In the city, she culled beauty, raw emotion and imagination in her photography, music and art since she was a child. Totally elastic at working in any medium, her forte was always evident-expression. Educated in both art and media communications; film, and music were always her passion. Sandy has worked with Grammy & Platinum musical luminaries as a music video producer, collaborated with NYFW designers, agent to top fashion photographers, PR to some of the most controversial national musical artists, worked alongside awarded directors, developed up and coming actors/musicians. Always striving to level the playing field for women, make room for the unseen, the not always powerful. She is a feminine force majeur. Witty, sensitive, capable, intelligent, funny, she’s an unassuming creator with an unrivaled ability to understand others, make herself and her art understood. She pulls together projects with careful respect for her subject.
