She Is The Music

About Sasha Gefen

My name is Sasha Gefen. I've been making music since I was 8. Improvisation is a form of pure freedom and truth for me, I love gathering sounds, I see them as flowers growing in the field and we just need to take them gently. I'm a Red Bull music Academy and 1beat program alumni. Performance and sound art are my passion.

Sasha's Experience

I’ve started to perform and do it since then, which is for 10 years now. I was playing in three bands, which I made by myself, including a small orchestra. And I realized I want to go deeper into the essence of the sound and music and started to learn a lot about electronic music. I’m seeking for inspiration and music community or better say environment where I can continue to learn, collaborate and use music as a main way for self-expression.

She Is The Music PresentsWomen Sharing the Spotlight

On behalf of She Is The Music, it is with great pleasure that we recognize the below women for their extraordinary contributions to the music industry at our inaugural Women Sharing The Spotlight cocktail event.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.

The list has been selected by our advisory council as one of 50 exceptional women to be celebrated for your 20+ years of remarkable achievement, contribution and impact in music.

Rooted in the conviction that 'We Are Stronger Together', we have asked each honoree to nominate another woman they admire to share the spotlight.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is envisioned as an annual celebration, creating a platform to elevate and empower women who are shaping the future of music.
