Shairis, also known as Shai, is a singer-songwriter based in New York. With a clear vision and a strong commitment to her craft, she is carving her own path as an independent artist, proving that success comes from believing in yourself and taking control of your journey. She is currently working on her debut album, shaping a whimsical indie pop sound that blends authenticity with a range of musical influences—a project she’s bringing to life without the backing of a label. Her music draws from retro influences across pop, R&B, classical, jazz, and soul, inspired by artists like Adele, Bruno Mars, and Alicia Keys. Born in the Bronx, raised in Rockland County, and educated in Harlem, her diverse background naturally shapes her sound. She deepened her musical foundation through jazz studies at The City College of New York, where she refined her skills in composition, arrangement, and musical storytelling. Now based in Queens, Shairis continues to push creative boundaries, inviting her audience to be part of her evolving journey.
