She Is The Music

About Shannon Hegarty

My name is Shannon Hegarty and I am a singer from Nashville, TN. My training is in musical theatre, but I do not like to just label myself to show tunes as I love singing pop, indie, and acoustic genres as well. I am currently a Junior at Belmont University en route to get my BFA in Musical Theatre, however the climate of Belmont has made me fall in love with songwriting and I have delved into that part of my education as well. I love writing songs for musicals, car rides, jogs you name it! Feel free to reach out if you want to work on a project!

She Is The Music PresentsWomen Sharing the Spotlight

On behalf of She Is The Music, it is with great pleasure that we recognize the below women for their extraordinary contributions to the music industry at our inaugural Women Sharing The Spotlight cocktail event.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.

The list has been selected by our advisory council as one of 50 exceptional women to be celebrated for your 20+ years of remarkable achievement, contribution and impact in music.

Rooted in the conviction that 'We Are Stronger Together', we have asked each honoree to nominate another woman they admire to share the spotlight.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is envisioned as an annual celebration, creating a platform to elevate and empower women who are shaping the future of music.
