About Shevy Smith

I am a producer/writer/composer with a studio based in Topanga, CA. I began my career as a teenager when I was signed as staff writer and artist for a division of Famous Music in Nashville. I had a ball and learned so much as it provided me a healthy budget with which to execute tracking sessions with the best musicians and mentorships with incredible engineers. While writing with gals like Liz Rose and Miranda Lambert, I also toured for about 8 years domestically and internationally. Some highlights included two USO Tours abroad to Afghanistan and Iraq, being named Campus Activities Female Entertainer of the Year via NACA shows, and sharing the stage with acts as wide ranging as Kenny Chesney, Shaggy, and the Steve Miller Band. I moved to LA for the lifestyle and opportunity it provided. Since then, I have worked in TV and promo, earning a ProMax Gold award and an Emmy nomination as a producer/composer for an ABC campaign. In 2018, I launched Elite Shout with a dynamic partner. We are a modern publishing company/record label leveraging livestreaming and the technology pioneered by the world of eSports to develop and build young artist careers. I also just began scoring my first feature length studio film. Along the way, I have been lucky enough to serve as president of the board of the Afghan Women's Writing Project as well as create and establish Camp Songs, a non-profit which takes the poetry of young refugees and uses it to teach songwriting to students in Title 1 schools in LA, NYC, and London. I am also a proud member of the Alliance of Women Film Composers.
