Hi, I’m Deanna. I’m a New York-based engineer, producer, and sound designer. I am passionate about crafting immersive sonic experiences in the realms of Indie Rock, Indie Pop, Alternative, R&B, and Singer-Songwriter music. It’s nice to meet you! In 2020, I embarked on a freelancing journey as an engineer with the ultimate goal of bringing forth the essence of musical performances. Over the years, I have amassed more than 600 hours of hands-on experience in acclaimed studios both in Nashville and New York. Following a rewarding 6-month period in 'Music City’ (in which I had the privilege of working for Dolly Parton), I completed my degree in Music and Sound Recording in New Haven, CT, and have since settled in the suburbs of New York City. I currently work out of The Koop Studio in Irvington, New York, a finely tuned hybrid studio with boutique gear. Living in proximity to the vibrant scenes of Manhattan and Brooklyn has proven immensely valuable to my creative process. This opportunity has also allowed insight into the ever-changing best practices of audio production. I have spent several years deeply immersed in the NY hardcore and CT indie scenes, attending shows and actively supporting emerging artists. I bring a distinct excitement to the music I work on, influenced by '90s alt-rock, post-punk, modern alternative R&B, and danceable indie pop. While my heart is often drawn to these genres, my professional journey has equipped me with a wealth of experience in mixing and recording across a diverse range of musical styles.
