Sonia' Experience
Working in a creative team has always been a rich experience, writing, recording performing and designing audiovisuals for the shows. And altough I consider myself a band person, I also work well on my own, expanding even more my skills, my musicality and the diverse languages in which Music can be expressed.
Since I am a little girl I invent melodies and write lyrics, choruses, beats. This creative process comes naturally. However, I have had to learn all the musical and production skills to keep developing and expanding my creative fields so that I can reach more audiences and reveal music´s potential for story telling, creating imaginary emotional time bubbles, I call them. ?
On the other hand, I love images interacting imaginatively, arising from the senses when heard, but also how it melts in the scene giving emotional form to of our favourite movie.
Creating, inventing worlds is a talent I worship and practice. All my experience collaborating making Music in all the various audio-visual projects over time, has brought me to understand how to generate ideas and make them be born, as if to say. I love that phenomena in Music and Arts. I studied Performig Arts Pop Music at the Liverpool City College and since then, Music making hasn´t stop to amaze and inspire me.
I have recently released my own recording project as a solo artist, my debut EP Spririt Fruit by independent label Marlee records. The skills I have had to develop in terms of creativity and production, has allowed me to be in charge of expressing own internal voice sonically, vocally and craft all details in the Music that give it meaning, wholeness and essence. All these skills, taste and language application are an amazing experience to be a part of. This is why I long to keep growing artistically in all Music fields possible, including cinema theme tracks sync.
On the other hand, releasing has been also a great application of skills gained though the years of working, such as preparing exclusives, premiers to the media, reaching the national and international independent scene. (Radio3 DiscoGrande, Indpendents ICat FM, Radio Gladys Palmera, Krac Radio Montreal, Lonely Oak radio, California USA, Eagle´s Nest Radio Arizona US. etc.
The more I learn, the more I love making Music.
