My name is Roeshunna Sallee I am a songwriter and I love to write to music because when I hear music I feel something. I am inspired by the musical notes of instruments being played and I begin to write lyrics. The lyrics I write come from different places I have been for example love relationship, friendship, growing up, all kind of different walks of life. I have always desired to have successful relationships. I know function in relationships is achievable. This is what I desired in my family life growing up which it was. When ever I noticed dysfunction I knew it was not how I were raised. What I believe makes me different from most. Is when I am not treated fairly I do not react with anger. I use those feelings to write lyrics to music. It turns out to be very creative and it sounds good. I learn from the songs I write about how bad experience can turn into a work of art. This is where I believe I get drive from. I want to be one of the people in this world who promote love and not hurt. I believe strongly I have talent to write lyrics. I sang a song about three months ago and a friend of the family said you have talent. You should sing yes you should rap but your singing voice , you have a voice. - From that moment I said to myself, I am going to do just that! I made a Linkedin account and I seen She Is The Music. I seen Alicia Keys and many other professional industry stars. I decided to read about it and I became very interested. I said to myself I need to surround myself with other women that are writers like myself. I believe women have a voice too. I believe often times it is very challenging for women to really be heard.
