About Sydney Wright

Hello! My name is Sydney. I'm a photographer and multimedia artist based out of New York City and Seattle, USA :) I've been shooting photo and video since 2016, but it wasn't until 2019 where I attended (and shot for) my first concert, falling in love with live music and wanting to capture it, feeling a sense of purpose and passion like nothing else. I've been chasing that dream since, picking up skills during lockdown, and shooting for shows and tours in between work and school breaks. I built a platform off combining my colorful photos and multimedia drawings into abstract collages, creating a style that reflects the music in a beautiful, eclectic display. Over the years, I've built an impressive portfolio full of some of my favorite artists. Some notable clients include brakence for the "hypochondriac" and "hypochondriac (is still on) tours, MICO, Maddie Zahm, jake minch, Magdalena Bay, underscores, and Koven Wei. I also had the honor of working with brands such as Microsoft, Universal Music, and Snohomish Film Company, editing and shooting video. I love travelling, and am so blessed and grateful to have been all over North America for work. Outside of photography, I have extensive experience as a camera operator for live events (such as concerts, interviews, variety shows and documentaries). I am an illustrator and work traditionally and digitally. I have experience with accounting and budgeting, travel management, HTML formatting, and social media management. I graduated from Cascadia College in June 2025 with my Associate’s Degree in Integrated Studies. I love learning new skills and value wholesome community, education, artistic expression, and exploring new cultures, mediums and stories. At the core, I'm an artist with a spark for LIFE, seeking out everything with intention and curiosity. It's a pleasure to meet you!

Sydney's Experience

Throughout the years, I’ve been building a strong portfolio of work that not only brings me joy, working with such talented teams, but also brings a lot of life and career experience, shaping me into the artist and human being I am today. Nothing fills me with more energy than being a part of something bigger, watching it unfold from the inside, contributing to the project. I’ve had to grow in huge ways over time. I’ve learned how to arrange and self-drive travel details, with both me and my clients I work with. I budget, advising on invoices and proposals. I love operating a video camera, capturing events the way my eye sees them, but am most passionate about photography. Through the “side quests” that don’t fully align with my dream goals, I’ve learned so manhy valuable skills through them, like learning all about film, experimenting with it in a free space without the high cost of developing and education. I’ve worked in corporate settings, learning about how management works and what a film company would do in that role. I even got my Associate’s Degree in the “in between” times between jobs, allowing me the time to rest from burnout, and explore new areas I was super into, such as oceanography and weather science. This allowed me to build my work ethic and reignite the spark and drive that originally brought me into this world. I returned, graduated from community college, with a new drive to get back into it, taking it seriously like never before. As I begin this next chapter of life in New York City, I hope to accelerate my skills and experience and really find my people.
