About Tal Flora

I am a music producer, sound designer, engineer, songwriter, and a technologist. Born in Tel Aviv, I have been exploring music and sound since a very young age. Growing up, while playing various instruments and studying different styles of music, I took part in playing with versatile groups and ensembles as a vocalist and keyboardist. I attended “Rimon”- School of Jazz and Contemporary Music and the Jerusalem Academy of Music, while touring with my music around the country (7 piece band I was writing, arranging and producing for). I then decided to participate in “The Voice, Israel”, placing in the Semi-Finals. In 2015, after receiving the school’s highest available merit-based scholarship, I decided to move to Boston to advance my academic knowledge and attend Berklee College of Music, where I majored in Electronic Music Production and Design. During my time at Berklee, I immersed myself in modular synthesis, audio processing, engineering, music technology, and electronic live performance. I have been able to work with clients as a producer, engineer, and a keyboardist, using the techniques and skills I have learned. Currently residing in Los Angeles, I am working on my self produced debut album while working with different artists.

Tal's Experience

I have 7 years of classical piano training and at 6-7 years of vocal training. Growing up, I took part in playing with versatile groups and ensembles as a vocalist and keyboardist. I attended “Rimon”- School of Jazz and Contemporary Music where I studied songwriting, jazz composition, arrangement and technology. Then attended the Jerusalem Academy of Music, while touring with my music (7 piece band which I wrote, arranged and produced for) around the country. I participate in “The Voice, Israel”, placing in the Semi-Finals. I owned a self-funded freelance production and performance business in which I was writing, composing, arranging and producing, music for artists in Israel. I am a recipient of Berklee’s highest available merit-based scholarship, where I majored in Electronic Music Production and Design. During my time at Berklee, I immersed myself in modular synthesis, sound design, audio processing, engineering, vocal production, music technology, mixing, and electronic live performance. I performed around Boston for about 2 years with my music using Ableton live and different controllers and synths. On top of that, I have been working as a technology assistant at the Electronic Production & Design Labs at Berklee, maintaining updated knowledge on all software and hardware available, such as production studios and labs’ equipment and software. I’ve interned in Q Division studios in Summerville, MA – where I was responsible for setting up recording sessions and editing different sessions in Pro Tools. I am currently working on my self produced debut album – which I wrote, sound designed, produced, engineered and performed. I have been composing, producing and performing with Ableton Live for many years, which I consider myself an expert in and also have much experience working with Pro Tools and Logic X.
