NATAŠA VESTER TRSEGLAV , Tasa Natasa was born into a musical family with her father being a musician. She started her musical education at Music School Radovljica, continued it at Music and Ballet Conservatory Maribor and graduated in composition and music theory at the Academy of Music Ljubljana. At Music and Ballet Conservatory Maribor Natasa spent the first 2 years of studying classical solo singing and later moved on to the vocal technic under the mentorship of Ms. Jerica Cetin at the Academy of Music Ljubljana. She soon discovered her interest in the “speech level technic” and began upgrading her knowledge by attending to many seminars and workshops in Slovenia and abroad. You might have asked yourself why the constant endless learning? Natasa believes that music has infinite possibilities and way to interpret it. She feels, that musicians should continue discovering new technics by life-long learning and all that for to express themselves by bringing their music closer to the listener. More Natasa learns more she wants to share her knowledge with other people, especially children. Non-profit Music School Mladi Komponist (Young Composers Group) was Natasa’s first teaching experience with young children at a very early age (2,3,4), which she founded in her hometown Zasip, near Bled. Her goal was to encourage children to musically express themselves - to compose, so to speak. This little group of young musicians is going to release the second CD later this year (2015). We are looking at Natasa’s teaching career now, which she started in 1900 at Music School Radovljica, then Music School Jesenice, Private Music School Do-Re-Mi, Public Primary School Prezihov Voranc and Music School Glasbnosned. She holds a position of a full time Music Teacher at Public High School Jesenice at the moment and she was teacheing piano at the British International Music School. Not to forget to mention, that she is also the founder of non-profit Music School Hiša glasbe Nataša where Natasa shares her musical knowledge with anyone who wants to learn, no matter the age of the learner. As teaching is important to Natasa as an artist, so is of a great importance to her, her own musical self-expression, as a composer, pianist and singer. As an active musician, she embraces many styles and genres. She writes contemporary music for Slovenian National Theaters and various music groups, performs as a pianist and a singer. Natasa also participated at several prestigious music festivals, including Trnfest, Lent and Festival La Vie En Rosé. You can find two of her songs on a compilation, which was produced by the Slovenian National Radio &Television (VAL 08 – Imamo dobro glasbo- We have good music.!; Festival sansona 2009). Natasa won her overall recognition as a top-tier impro-artist in 2012 at her concert in Bled, called Piano at Lake, where she preformed also with Kevin G. Davey. A music project in collaboration with the students of Public High School Jesenice, was organized by her in 2013/2014. After second concert, this was not a local project anymore but it has overgrown those limits into a Slovenian Music project. The concert has 60 participating students singing, playing and rhythmical dancing to Natasa’s arrangements of Slovenian evergreen songs. With the same concert, Natasa and her 60 member chorus, were invited to perform in National Council of Republic of Slovenia in January 2015. She belives, that music has infinite possibilities and way to interpret it. She feels, that musicians should continue discovering new technics by life-long learning and all that for to express themselves by bringing their music closer to the listener. She released a debut record Panta Rei in year 2017, pop-jazz-chansons. She wrote music, and lyrics for the album and played piano, keyboard, rhodes, lead and backingvocals. Arrangmanets were written together with Teodor Amanović-Toš , (who also produced the album) for all of the songs on the album. Record was published on 17 may by Celinka records.In the past year she was promoting the album, had concerts and interwiews. The album got some excelent crytics. She already writes music for next album, wich will be released in 2022. In the past year she also wrote music for 2 childrens plays. One was Coprnica Zofka by Svetlana Makarovič and the other was Moj dežnik je lahko balon by Ela Peroci. The second one was a theatrical dance performance and with both of the plays they participate in the Slovenian regional contest and with Moj dežnik je lahko balon recived a golden recognition. She wrote, music for musical Za Zmerej-Forever at theater Gledališče Toneta Čufarja Jesenice, which had a premiere on the 21 november this year 2018 and she recived an award for music and interpretation. In 2021 she won the Kantfest festival in Ruše. A festival for songwriters and lyricists. She belives, that music has infinite possibilities and way to interpret it. My life in short... : » I know I was born to make music. To sing, write music, play the piano, make pople happy. After I recived my first child, Pika Enja is her name, I decided I will dedicate my life just to familly and teaching. During the laibor Alicia Keys was playing Butterflys on repeat...Love was unconditional at the first moment. With my husband have decided, to have another baby. She died. I had to let her go, when I was 7 month pregnant. That was the hardest day of my life...Mia Neve was her name. Our familly was devistated.We have an angel now. And greave came along... After a while, we decided, to try one more time. And Bela Indy was born. To soon. We were together in the intensive care for 5 months and her longs gave up. This girl is on fire was on playlist that time.. She died in our arms. The pain in my heart was so intensive, that even the music died. I couldn't play the piano.. Again greave came along. For the socond time. The second hardest day of our lives... The first born , Pika Enja was brave. Along with us. She wanted us to try for the last time. I said yes to a new life. And Kimi Nana is with us. Pika Enja is 15, Kimi Nana 6 years old. And we are a big familly, with 2 angels in the sky. I have decided, that it is time, that I make some music again. The music is calling me. I would like to play and make some music again. In whole. To stop teaching for a while and to make concerts and new music. When Bela Indy was daying, I promised her, that I'm gona make a record for her. Music for children in heaven. I also wan't to help with that to women who have lost their children in early stages, so with my story perhaps I can help someone, who is grieving, or to people close to them, how to react. I found your organisation, if maybe can help me, to make my dreams come true in any way. Life is to short, to stop dreaming and I wan't to make my girls and my husband proud of me. Proud of me, that after all I didn't stop dreaming and I reach out to make my dreams come true.
