About Tate Oliva

Tate Oliva not only looks at you when she performs, she looks into you. Here she finds the seeds for her songs. From the small town of Ashland Oregon, she has been a folk singing and songwriting musician since age 13 when she started writing songs on the Baritone Ukulele. From there she has expanded, studying guitar and vocals and continuing to write songs. Growing up rafting the rivers of the pacific northwest and exploring the wild as much as possible, Tate draws her inspiration from the rugged lands of the west. She released her self-titled debut album of all original songs on March 8th 2019 at age 14. Songs such Play With Fire (A witty country inspired folk tune about a pyromaniac's childhood adventures) and Wild Sage and Wild Heather (which tells the story of fall coming to the west coast) showcase Tate’s love for storytelling and emotive singing. Playing live shows is a favorite for her, and she has featured at local folk collective concerts and storytelling events. Tate is currently working on an EP which she hopes to release in December 2021 in time for her 17th birthday!
