The Angel has established a unique voice as a film/TV composer. Combining her early skills as a record producer and recording artist, this Brooklyn native is critically acclaimed for establishing a unique sound in 90s electronic music. Known as a trip hop pioneer, she’s also blended live instrumentation into her remixes for Blue Note’s DONALD BYRD, Grammy Nominee MYSTIC and MICHAEL FRANTI as well as her records and TV and film compositions. Her latest singles include, WORDS LIKE DAGGERS (feat JHELISA) co-producing a video with award-winning director Mark Pellington and 60 Channels’ HOW IT GOES DOWN (feat SLIMKID3 of THE PHARCYDE). Since relocating to L.A. from her adoptive city of London, her nuanced approach in working to picture, has seen her score a wide range of films, using an eclectic mix of traditional and hybrid instrumentation. She has been tapped to bring a signature sound to feature films including Paramount+/Showtime’s NAACP Image Award Nominee HEIST 88 (Courtney B Vance), New Line's BOILER ROOM (Giovanni Ribisi, Ben Affleck), British classic, KiDULTHOOD (Aml Ameen), the Ludacris-narrated documentary, THE HEART OF THE GAME (Miramax), documentary, VELVET VISION: THE STORY OF JAMES BIDGOOD AND THE MAKING OF PINK NARCISSUS and more.
