About Gaia Haus

My interest for documenting was developed at a young age, as I was exposed to my sibling’s passion for music and creating (often observing him track on a 4-track cassette tape recorder!). It wasn’t, however, until what I felt was a constant discouragement in my path of life, that I decided it was time for a change. I took the necessary steps and was 1 of 25 total students (and only 1 of 2 females) accepted into the Citrus College Recording Arts Program. This changed my life. Since receiving my recording technology certificate, I have been both constantly teaching myself and learning from a few amazing mentors. Prior to audio school, I founded The Gaia Haus (www.thegaiahaus.com), a live music project that highlights female musicians–in which I both edit the video and mix the recording along with my colleague. In addition, I work as a freelance FOH engineer for a wide range of indie bands and events. As I continue on this journey, I strive to take on new and challenging opportunities that will not only enable me to continue honing my skills and knowledge in audio; but also allow me to cultivate the personal and professional growth that I seek..
