About Bryn McCutcheon

Bryn is a Toronto-based songwriter and artist with an affinity for creating hyper-vulnerable and lyrically complex music. Her artist sound has been described as Maggie Rogers meets Lorde — a combination of raw storytelling and hypnotizing femininity. Since the release of her full studio album, Tempest (2018), which charted top 40 on the iTunes Alternative charts, Bryn broke her silence in 2020 with the release of “Dead Types”, a dark-pop collaboration with Toronto producer, Don Mills, which garnered over half a million streams. From there, Bryn is now working on her first EP alongside the award-winning producer, Andrew Dawson (Kanye West, FUN, John Legend, etc). As a writer and artist, Bryn strives to create safe spaces for her co-creators. She looks forward to 2021 and the release of her new project as the start of a new evolution and era as both an artist and songwriter.

Bryn's Experience

I love being both a writer and an artist. As an artist, it makes me sensitive to creatives and making sure it’s their voice being heard and their story being told. As an artist, it makes me appreciate what each writer brings to a room and what magic certain dynamics create. I love being able to be and do both.
