I am a recording engineer and aspiring live sound engineer. I was born and raised in Brazil, but now in America for over 6 years. Music and the feeling it brings to your heart and soul is what drove me to work in this field. There’s nowhere else I could be, and nothing else I could be doing.

Vanessa's Experience

I studied Audio Engineering for 6 years -due to changing schools and a few credits not being transferable – at The Art Institute Of San Diego, and my last years at LARS. During this period I had the chance to learn from and work with really amazing people, everything from the basics on the books till the real world experience at school events, and studio time.

Women Sharing The Spotlight is founded in the ethos that when we make more space for each other, when we bring more women into the room, we create a vibrant spirit and ecosystem of mentorship, growth and opportunity -- together. This is a unique event for industry leaders to not only converge and celebrate -- but to share their platforms, their voices, and their strength with one another and with the next generations of women forging the path ahead.

Rooted in the conviction that 'We Are Stronger Together', we have asked each honoree to nominate another woman they admire to share the spotlight.
