About Lia Hide

Lia Hide is an avant pop Greek artist. She is a songwriter pianist composer and producer: in her niche sound, she’s fusing jazz with avant-garde, cinematic with dark wave, post with baroque pop, singing stories stories through highly skilled and versatile vocals fused with spoken poetry. Powerful pianos dance with screaming guitars & a rigid rythm section drives her sound world, performed by a skilled and highly experience band that has been tightly bonded, performing more than 10 years together. Lia HIde builded a prolific Electronica background of albums and international collaborations before she debuted as a solo EMI-Universal artist in 2013. Since, she pursued an indie-label approach, releasing 5 studio albums, a remix album and an instrumental album (commissioned music for the dance drama ‘Genoktonia’ by Pavlos Kourtidis, themed on the Greek Pontiak Genocide, performed at ΠΚ Theater and Aeschylea Festival, 2019). Her 4th album, the Missing Fourth Guest, 2022 (a concept album on Plato's Timeaus) premiered at the Athens International Jazz Festival (2022) and was toured all over Europe. The album was dressed up in 8 art videos, multi awaded and screened in international film festivals/video competitions (her video for ‘Cloud’ reached the 2023 Best Music Video Grammy Awards consideration ballot). Her 5th new album ‘Aristophobia Nervosa’ is her very 1st concept album in the Greek language : lyrical and jazz siging meet spoken word poetry and phonetic improvisations narate the perils of our era of social turbulence and dark perplexity.
