About Maggie Meglio

Hi, I’m Maggie Meglio — a sophomore Marketing major at the University of Pittsburgh, earning certificates in Professional Leadership & Ethics and Digital Media. I’m passionate about the intersection of marketing, creativity, and culture, especially within the music and entertainment industry. Through my involvement in the Music and Entertainment Business Association, Women in Business, Pitt Program Council, and DiabetesLink, I’ve developed hands-on experience in event planning, community engagement, and strategic communication. Outside the classroom, you’ll find me at concerts, discovering new music, watching films, hiking, or traveling — all of which inspire my interest in artist management, fan engagement, and live events. I’m eager to apply my skills in fast-paced, innovative environments and connect with professionals who can offer insight into the entertainment space. If you work in (or know someone in) the music and entertainment industry, I’d love to connect and start a conversation!

Maggie's Experience

I’m currently trying to gain as much experience as I can across the sectors of the music and entertainment industry! I currently work as a freelance content creator for Capitol records, where I make weekly posts about their artists The Backseat Lovers. I took part in SITM Connect TogtHER Summer Mentorship Program, where I was a Touring and Events Mentee! I created a fan engagement project with the help of industry professional Angelique Mark, as well as had weekly conversations about industry trends, past experiences, and the future of touring! I was a Marketing and Promotions intern at Stage AE in Pittsburgh where I created social media content for the Instagram, helped with tabling events at shows, and street teamed marketing materials across the Greater Pittsburgh and Oakland area. In Spring of 2025, I served as the Production Assistant for Bigelow Bash, a student-run concert put on by Pitt Program Council Special Events Committee. In this role, I helped with administrative tasks like overlooking contracts and coordinating with vendors, led meetings between committees, and helped with day-of tasks like stage set up and event management. This Fall, I served as Artist Hospitality/Stage Crew Co-Director where we searched out local bands and artists, created artist contracts, and ran day-of event stage logistics.
