Sam's Experience

In 2023 I founded Dugout Radio, a music community where I curate Spotify playlists from artist submissions that come in through Instagram and Discord. That means listening closely to a lot of new music every week, then picking and ordering tracks so each playlist holds together from start to finish. That work has helped grow the community to over 6,000 people. I also run a 700-member Discord hub where I manage submissions, auditions, and release updates, which keeps me organized when a lot is moving at once. I also produce and DJ as Samisosa. My original music and remixes have passed 100K streams, and other DJs have played them out in their sets. In fall 2025, I toured the US and Canada supporting REAPER on the BONEYARD Tour. In NYC, I’ve opened for Zeds Dead, Goldie, Rudimental, and Nia Archives at venues like Avant Gardner, Elsewhere, Nowadays, and Silo. I build every set around crowd energy and pacing, and I’m always digging for new music across genres. Through Samisosa I’ve worked with Simple Stupid Records (UMG), Hospital Records, Space Yacht, and Radish Management, and I’m part of Change The Beat’s Going Global cohort for women in electronic music. I’ve played and promoted Women’s History Month sets and helped promote Pride Month sets in NYC. On the business side, I grew my Instagram from 1,000 to 13.6K followers, with top posts reaching over 100K accounts. Before that, as a marketing intern at Sugar Mountain Records, I pitched artists to radio stations nationwide and tracked how each release performed.
